The Mears Field Airport is nestled in the foothills of the North Cascade mountain range in Washington state. \nAttendees will not only get to enjoy the activities at the airport (food\, live music\, and more)\, but you’ll also be treated to sightseeing around the local area and visits to our historic Town Center. Free\, guided tours will depart by bus from the Pilots Lounge throughout the event. We do have a discounted rate at a hotel in town. Activities of the day to include Formation Flight Demonstrations\, some competitive flying games\, lots of RV-4 fun and outstanding food with hosting by none other than our very own RV-4 Owner\, Jason Edwards.\nThe Balloon Busting competition with Spot Landing will be back and fierce as ever. Make several passes and try to get the best score while flying with your friends. Come prepped for all the fun flying we can jam pack into a day and pack your favorite adult beverages to share and enjoy later in the evening. Plans will continue to solidify and we will provide all the details as we get closer to the date. Throwing this out there to get it on your calendar! Please be honest with the RSVP this year. This helps with food and logistics. We will also be charging a fee this year to help cover expenses (amount TBD it wont be life changing). Thanks! We’re super excited!

DESCRIPTION:This will be the first-ever PPG event at Jack Barstow Airport in Midland\, Michigan!\nJoin us June 11–14\, 2026 for the 1st Annual Wing Thing Powered Paraglider Fly-In. This is a free event created to bring together pilots\, spectators\, future pilots\, volunteers\, ppg vendors\, food vendors\, and the powered paragliding community.\nCome enjoy PPG flying\, dry camping\, pancake breakfast\, BBQ\, vendor displays\, community\, and a weekend built around supporting and growing the sport of powered paragliding.\nThis is a free event for pilots and spectators!\nPilots\, spectators\, campers\, and volunteers:\nPlease pre-register and complete the event waiver here so we can plan pilot parking\, camping\, volunteers\, food\, safety\, waivers\, and event logistics:\n\nParamotor vendors\, food vendors\, dealers\, and booth displays:\nVendor spaces must be approved before setup. Please complete the vendor application here:\n\nSubmitting a vendor application does not guarantee approval or booth space. Approved vendors will be contacted with setup details\, parking instructions\, arrival times\, payment information\, and any applicable vendor fees.\nEntrance is on the west side of Jack Barstow Airport off Sturgeon Rd\, across from E.
