DESCRIPTION:Pilots With Presents Fly In and Car Display\, 11AM to 1PMThe Annual Pilots with Presents Fly In and Car Display is an event to help Toys For Tots meet their goal of making Christmas a joyous time for all local children. It is a joint effort by The Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots\, Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 977\, Suwannee River Region Antique Automobile Club of America\, and the Lake City Gateway Airport.The event will take place at the Lake City Gateway airport terminal located at 3524 US 90\, between 11AM and 1PM. Featured will be an antique and custom car display and aircraft flying in to drop off toys. All adults bringing a new unwrapped toy valued $10 or more will be entitled to a free hot dog lunch and unique collectable Challenge Coin (while supplies last). Kids under age 12 eat free.Sant Claus will be in attendance listening to kids last minute wishes for Christmas and handing out toys too. Join in on the fun and help make Christmas special for all local kids.

Search the numerous YouTube videos from previous event to get the feel of what Mountain flying is all about. This General Aviation airport has proven to be perfect for PPG/PPC due to the light traffic\, morning ground fog situations and single traffic pattern. Potable water\, Mens and Woman’s hot showers\, waste water dump on-site\, hangar storage space for equipment and shelter during inclement weather.\nTo ensure everyone gets the needed nightly rest to fly the next day the generator use will be limited to all those camping on the asphalt area be turned off by 11:00 PM. Generators will be allowed to run all night in the “East 40” camping area. The option of staying at any of our accommodations or campgrounds… here’s a helpful link www.johnsoncountytn.gov/places-to-stay.\n100LL aviation fuel is available in the office\, or seek out Airport representative.\nAn FAA NOTAM will be implemented for safety concerns that will alert general aviation aircraft of your presence in the area\, but please note that the Airport will remain open or any and all public landing and taking off traffic.\nEvent participants charge per day is $25.00 per pilot and $10.00 additional charge that come with non-flying adult guest.
