The goal is simple\, meet up with all the RV-4 (now all Vans RV friendly but the -4 is still the best) friends prior to Oshkosh to do all the fun flying you typically can’t do once at AirVenture.\nCome to KOVS\, Boscobel\, WI on the morning and plan to stay and camp/hotel. We do have a discounted rate at a hotel in town. Activities of the day to include Formation Flight Demonstrations\, some competitive flying games\, lots of RV-4 fun and outstanding food with hosting by none other than our very own RV-4 Owner\, Jason Edwards.\nThe Balloon Busting competition with Spot Landing will be back and fierce as ever. Make several passes and try to get the best score while flying with your friends. Come prepped for all the fun flying we can jam pack into a day and pack your favorite adult beverages to share and enjoy later in the evening. Plans will continue to solidify and we will provide all the details as we get closer to the date. Throwing this out there to get it on your calendar! Please be honest with the RSVP this year. Mountain City Tennessee 37683.\nThis year is going to be from July 27th to August 3rd to fit into that after “Oshkosh Air Show” week.\nNOTE: REGISTRATION WILL BE CLOSED BETWEEN 11PM AND 6AM! If you have to arrive between those times please plan on taking a nap in the parking lot for a bit. Thank you…\nVender Update:\nWe are going LOCAL this year and inviting organizations\, churches\, schools\, fund raisers and anyone else that wants to set something up. **JOHNSON COUNTY VENDORS** call me at 423-727-1223 for more details.\nYou all have been responsible for a lot of grins\, laughter and conversation within the local community when they are discussing “Those Contraptions” that you all fly around with! Anytime someone is aware that I’m associated with the Airport they always have something interesting to boast. (most want to try it)\nFor those that have been here before\, I look so forward to seeing you all again for another awesome week. For those that haven’t been here before\, we boast breathtaking mountainous views\, friendly locals\, interesting side amenities such as Doe Mountain Recreation Area for some of road trail riding\, Watauga Lake and Runway side Roan Creek for water activities\, welcoming local shops and fantastic restaurants. Search the numerous YouTube videos from previous event to get the feel of what Mountain flying is all about. This General Aviation airport has proven to be perfect for PPG/PPC due to the light traffic\, morning ground fog situations and single traffic pattern. Potable water\, Mens and Woman’s hot showers\, waste water dump on-site\, hangar storage space for equipment and shelter during inclement weather.\nTo ensure everyone gets the needed nightly rest to fly the next day the generator use will be limited to all those camping on the asphalt area be turned off by 11:00 PM. Generators will be allowed to run all night in the “East 40” camping area. The option of staying at any of our accommodations or campgrounds… here’s a helpful link www.johnsoncountytn.gov/places-to-stay.\n100LL aviation fuel is available in the office\, or seek out Airport representative.\nAn FAA NOTAM will be implemented for safety concerns that will alert general aviation aircraft of your presence in the area\, but please note that the Airport will remain open or any and all public landing and taking off traffic.\nEvent participants charge per day is $25.00 per pilot and $10.00 additional charge that come with non-flying adult guest. Spectator participation is free. DESCRIPTION:The second annual Flying Midwest Podcast Fly-in/Camp-out will be at Price County Airport this year.\n\n\nIf you didn’t attend last year’s event at Lone Rock\, it’s a fun three-day weekend of camping on the airport\, hanging out with aviation friends\, and having a great time exploring a new space. With KPBH as the venue\, we have access to a very nice FBO facility\, good food and a beach across the highway at Harbor View\, not to mention plenty of parking and camping space.\n\n\nSee the flyer below for RSVP info\, and I hope to see y’all there.
