Morning Seminar (9:30 AM – 11:30 PM) – Sponsored by the FAA Safety Team\, this seminar will provide valuable information to help inactive pilots return to the cockpit. Topics will include:\n•Returning Pilot Refresher: Regulatory updates\, currency requirements\, and practical steps to resume flying including flight review requirements.\n•FAA Sport Pilot 2.0 Rule: Opportunities and limitations under the new rule.\n•Aeromedical Considerations: Navigating medical requirements\, including BasicMed and medical alternatives.\nLocal Flying Club Presentations: Learn about nearby clubs\, available aircraft\, and how to join.\nReturning this year\, the Hoosick Air Modelers will present a display of some of their finest model airplanes. There is plenty of room for RV’s\, tents\, off-road vehicles and PPG/PPC. There is trail riding accessible from the LZ as well as gas stations\, AirBnB\, motels\, grocery within 2 miles. You can ride your ATV’s to dinner!\nWe will have food trucks\, tons of PPG vendors and there are 15 rental cabins on the property with showers and bathrooms. We had over 200 pilots and 350 attendees last year. Everyone had a great time and we hope to be even bigger and better this year!\nWe have a clinic each day by experts such as Motor Maintenance\, Water Landings and Reserve Deployments\, Glider Maintenance and Repair\, etc.\nThe event is $80 and includes a nice T-shirt for the first 150 to register. We regularly have live music\, sand volleyball\, and plenty of other fun activities Pilots\, please note a few things when flying into Rochelle:\nDo not overfly the airport\nContact CSC on CTAF 122.975 to see if there are jumpers in the air\nIf so\, just fly a standard pattern. Our operations will not interfere with you. However\, keep an eye out as jumpers can sometimes land in areas other than our main landing area.\nPlease park on the main ramp and use the sidewalk located along the south side of the T hangars to get to the Flight Deck Bar & Grill. We know you know your way around aircraft\, but it sets a bad example for our guests when they see people walk past our loading area with props spinning.
