DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to invite you all to come join us for our Ashland Airport Day! Admission is FREE! We are family centered and are stoked to share our love of aviation with everyone.\n\n\nIn the world of aviation\, weather plays a key role. We plan to have plane and helicopter rides this year\, but it is all contingent on weather. Rides will be on a first come\, first serve basis as we can only fit so many in our one day. Do not fret though! We offer our Intro and Scenic Flights year round as weather permits. You may schedule a flight for up to three members onboard on plane and see our local valley and nearby areas from the sky.\n\n\nCome check out the “Ashland UFO” so many of you have been seeing flying around. Mistaken for a drone\, we have an aircraft that is just so different from what we already have in the world of aviation. The Pivotal BlackFly is an electric-powered VTOL personal air vehicle that will be on display. A demo flight is scheduled\, but is contingent on weather conditions. This flight is most likely to take place earlier in the morning.\n\n\nWe will have our local Rogue Valley Flying Club out there with a booth to share information about how you too can have access to a fleet of ready to fly planes. They are based out of Medford Airport via MillionAir. They offer Flying Member and General Member memberships. You can be a part of the flying club without holding a pilot license as a general member and have access to all the get together and barbeques.\n\n\nWant to get a Private Pilot License? We offer training at our Ashland Airport with our Certified Flight Instructors as well as an Intro Flight.\n\n\nPilots are cool\, but remember the unsung heroes who keep it all going-the mechanics! Check out a real life maintenance and repair station where aircraft mechanics keep these machines alive\, airworthy and safe. For those of you who find themselves mechanically inclined\, this is a great opportunity to get a peek in to the life of an aviation mechanic. We have a General Aviation shop as well as a Helicopter Facility.\n\n\n~ADVISORY~\nWe ask that you please do not touch propellers or stand close to them. It is recommended that you stay out of the “arch” or the propeller\, which is the area in which the propeller rotates. Please keep a close eye on your kiddos so that they don’t touch or get near them. This is a general rule of thumb in aviation and we want to ensure everyone has a wonderful and safe experience. Please do not climb in or touch aircraft unless an owner of the plane says otherwise. Of course photos are welcome!

Mountain City Tennessee 37683.\nThis year is going to be from July 27th to August 3rd to fit into that after “Oshkosh Air Show” week.\nNOTE: REGISTRATION WILL BE CLOSED BETWEEN 11PM AND 6AM! If you have to arrive between those times please plan on taking a nap in the parking lot for a bit. Thank you…\nVender Update:\nWe are going LOCAL this year and inviting organizations\, churches\, schools\, fund raisers and anyone else that wants to set something up. **JOHNSON COUNTY VENDORS** call me at 423-727-1223 for more details.\nYou all have been responsible for a lot of grins\, laughter and conversation within the local community when they are discussing “Those Contraptions” that you all fly around with! Anytime someone is aware that I’m associated with the Airport they always have something interesting to boast. For those that haven’t been here before\, we boast breathtaking mountainous views\, friendly locals\, interesting side amenities such as Doe Mountain Recreation Area for some of road trail riding\, Watauga Lake and Runway side Roan Creek for water activities\, welcoming local shops and fantastic restaurants. Search the numerous YouTube videos from previous event to get the feel of what Mountain flying is all about. This General Aviation airport has proven to be perfect for PPG/PPC due to the light traffic\, morning ground fog situations and single traffic pattern. Potable water\, Mens and Woman’s hot showers\, waste water dump on-site\, hangar storage space for equipment and shelter during inclement weather.\nTo ensure everyone gets the needed nightly rest to fly the next day the generator use will be limited to all those camping on the asphalt area be turned off by 11:00 PM. Generators will be allowed to run all night in the “East 40” camping area. The option of staying at any of our accommodations or campgrounds… here’s a helpful link www.johnsoncountytn.gov/places-to-stay.\n100LL aviation fuel is available in the office\, or seek out Airport representative.\nAn FAA NOTAM will be implemented for safety concerns that will alert general aviation aircraft of your presence in the area\, but please note that the Airport will remain open or any and all public landing and taking off traffic.\nEvent participants charge per day is $25.00 per pilot and $10.00 additional charge that come with non-flying adult guest. DESCRIPTION:The second annual Flying Midwest Podcast Fly-in/Camp-out will be at Price County Airport this year.\n\n\nIf you didn’t attend last year’s event at Lone Rock\, it’s a fun three-day weekend of camping on the airport\, hanging out with aviation friends\, and having a great time exploring a new space. With KPBH as the venue\, we have access to a very nice FBO facility\, good food and a beach across the highway at Harbor View\, not to mention plenty of parking and camping space.\n\n\nSee the flyer below for RSVP info\, and I hope to see y’all there.
