Breakfast and Lunch prepared by Amy’s Country kitchen will be available for purchase at the Club hangar. CVFC members will be on hand to greet everyone and answer questions about flying\, airplanes and CVFC membership.\nSpecial this year! Morning Seminar (9:30 AM – 11:30 PM) – Sponsored by the FAA Safety Team\, this seminar will provide valuable information to help inactive pilots return to the cockpit. Topics will include:\n•Returning Pilot Refresher: Regulatory updates\, currency requirements\, and practical steps to resume flying including flight review requirements.\n•FAA Sport Pilot 2.0 Rule: Opportunities and limitations under the new rule.\n•Aeromedical Considerations: Navigating medical requirements\, including BasicMed and medical alternatives.\nLocal Flying Club Presentations: Learn about nearby clubs\, available aircraft\, and how to join.\nReturning this year\, the Hoosick Air Modelers will present a display of some of their finest model airplanes. They will be on hand to discuss the joys of the model airplane hobby\nWhether you fly or not\, Aviation Day has become a premier local community event for the Cambridge\, Greenwich\, Salem and Bennington area. Chapin Field will be crowded all day with lots of families and aviation enthusiasts enjoying the food\, looking at the planes\, learning about aviation\, and enjoying watching planes fly in and out. And\, who knows\, you might be able to take a short flight with a CVFC member in their plane. It’s an experience you will never forget! Come early on Saturday\, starting at 9am to reserve your ride. There is no better way to view our fantastic fall colors than at Aviation Day!\nAdmission is free. Proceeds from the donations for plane rides will go to the CVFC Chapin Memorial Scholarship Fund which CVFC awards to a deserving Cambridge Central School graduating senior.

DESCRIPTION:Pilots With Presents Fly In and Car Display\, 11AM to 1PMThe Annual Pilots with Presents Fly In and Car Display is an event to help Toys For Tots meet their goal of making Christmas a joyous time for all local children. It is a joint effort by The Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots\, Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 977\, Suwannee River Region Antique Automobile Club of America\, and the Lake City Gateway Airport.The event will take place at the Lake City Gateway airport terminal located at 3524 US 90\, between 11AM and 1PM. Featured will be an antique and custom car display and aircraft flying in to drop off toys. All adults bringing a new unwrapped toy valued $10 or more will be entitled to a free hot dog lunch and unique collectable Challenge Coin (while supplies last). Kids under age 12 eat free.Sant Claus will be in attendance listening to kids last minute wishes for Christmas and handing out toys too. Join in on the fun and help make Christmas special for all local kids.
