We created our Fly-in Restaurant map, to make it the easiest way for general aviation pilots to find fly-in restaurants on or off airport!
You can search fly-in restaurants by:
- Category (On or Off airports, BBQ, Steak, All Day Breakfast, etc)
- Airport ID
- Restaurant Name
- State
- Radius (Search for restaurants from a 50–300-mile radius out from a known location)
- Point to Point (great for XC trips, locates restaurants 100 miles from the straight line)
Getting Started: Upon initial loading of the map, the map will appear blank. Click on any search button to find restaurants by Category, Airport ID, Restaurant Name, State or click on the refresh map button to show all markers. Green Markers shown are On-Airport restaurants and Blue Markers shown are Off-Airport restaurants.
Search Results: Your search results will show on the map as a marker and also below the search buttons as a listing. Click on the map marker to find specific pilot info (if available) like notes for pilots from the restaurant or from other pilots. There is a link to the airport’s Air Nav or SkyVector (Canadian Listings) page, which is available in the listing’s info found below the search buttons. It is recommended if you click directly onto a map marker, make sure to close out the info box prior to refreshing the map.
Point to Point Search: Click on the Show button to open the Point-to-Point Search. Type in a start location this can be an address, airport ID, point of interest, or a restaurant. Add an End Location then click the Find Direction Button. This will create a straight line from the start location to the end location and find all restaurants within 100 miles from the straight line.
Radius Search: Is there a fly-in restaurant near me? Could be so we suggest performing a Radius Search. A Radius Search will tell you within 50-300 miles from a specific address location, just type in the location info (address, City or airport ID) into the location Listing Search Bar and then click on the Select Radius Button and choose a mileage distance out from your location. All fly-in restaurants will show based on your search criteria.
Get added to the map: This resource is free and we encourage pilots to add relevant info to our maps to make it better for the next pilot, as a way to pay it forward. If you find that we have incorrect information or you would like to add a restaurant to the map please click on the “Get added to the Map” button, fill out the form and submit it, we will add or correct the info at no cost.
